As the city of Karlsruhe announced in a press release, there will be two major construction sites in East Karlsruhe during the Whitsun Holidays: Haid-und-Neu-Strasse and Karl Wilhelm Platz. On the one hand, the civil engineering department of Haid-und-Neu-Strasse continues to operate on the course of Course 15, and on the other hand, the carrier is renewing the tracks on Karl-Wilhelm-Platz. Citizens should expect similar conversions.
“Work on another section of the 15th cycle path, which will improve communication between Durlacher Tor and Hagsfeld, has been underway in the section between Tullastrae and Ostring since mid-April. To this end, the pass will be expanded by a separate cycle lane,” says the press release from Karlsruhe: “Initially by blocking a lane, there will also be new parking spots at the edge of the road.”
Transfers until mid-July
During the Whitsun Holidays the road surface and a section of the canal must be renovated, which is why Haid-und-Neu-Strasse outside the city between Tullastrasse, Forststrasse and Ostring must be closed. In the city center it is possible to pass through Haid-und-Neu-Strasse all the time, but it is not possible to turn into Ostring.

The conversion was flagged via Tullastrae.
Bicycle and pedestrian traffic will be diverted across the Flinstrae. Accessibility to residential streets in the affected area is guaranteed through the surrounding road network. After the Whitsun holiday, recent work between Helmertstrasse and Tpperstrasse is supposed to be completed by mid-July – again with a lane closed.
The track construction work will take place from May 25 to June 6
Also during the Whitsun Holidays, from Tuesday 25 May to Sunday 6 June the trail over Karl-Wilhelm-Platz is closed to vehicle traffic. According to the city of Karlsruhe, cyclists and pedestrians can still pass through the square, and vehicle-traffic bypass roads are marked.

The S2 and Tramways 4, 5 and 6 have also been affected.
“Lines S2, 4, and 5 are diverted from the main cemetery in both directions through Tullastrae. Line 5 from Tullastrae does not lead to Durlacher Tor, but via Ludwig-Erhard-Allee toward Konzerthaus. Line 6 runs only during Whitsun holidays section Mhlburger Tor ( Kaiserplatz) – Entenfang – Daxlanden / Rappenwrt and Back, “as cited at the end.
