There has already been a lot of speculation about the broken relationship between Prince William and Prince Harry. Now a royal expert has revealed her knowledge.
LONDON – Long gone are the days when Prince William, 42, and his younger brother Prince Harry, 39, were so close and publicly appeared as a harmonious team. Since Harry stepped back from royal duties with his wife Meghan, 42, in 2020, there has been an ice age between the brothers. Now a royal expert has revealed why the heir to the throne eventually cut off contact with the immigrant.

Prince Harry has likely given his family ample reason to cut off contact. He and his wife Meghan have repeatedly criticised their behaviour and the monarchy in public, including in a TV interview with Oprah Winfrey, 70, and in his memoir, Spare. All of this has strained the relationship with her older brother, royal expert Ingrid Seward told the Mirror.
Prince William, who just celebrated his 42nd birthday without his brother, is very sensitive and stability is very important to him. “His relationship with his brother Harry has bothered him more than he would like to admit. But he has found it easier to cut off contact than to be constantly upset.” The brothers also have every hope of reconciliation despite the difficult time the British royal family has been going through since the birth of King Charles, 75, and Princess Kate, 42. They were both diagnosed with cancer, although they have not been reunited.
Prince William and Prince Harry: No reconciliation on the horizon
It is currently unknown when the two last saw each other. In his interview with 60 Minutes in January 2023, Prince Harry said he had not been in touch with his brother and father “for a while”. The 39-year-old visited the latter for a few minutes when he discovered he had cancer. In the interview, he himself expressed hope for peace within the family.
It remains to be seen whether Prince William will one day agree to this desire or whether he would prefer to continue to keep his temper and do without his younger brother. At present, it seems that there is no reconciliation on the horizon between the royal brothers.
