hardly beaten
Even those who have resented Coldplay’s continued decline since 2000 must admit: Field Music is a new low.
Fortunately, when English band Coldplay announced their new multi-million dollar collaboration in mid-September, the world reacted reasonably calmly. “My Universe”, the song it’s about, sung by Coldplay director Chris Martin with seven members of BTS, is currently the biggest and most stormy pop group in South Korea (actually in the world). Then a clever netizen discovered the true rewards of the Coldplay campaign. Through the collaboration of BTS, So Twitterer, the group got the best reviews from the start and silenced all the mockers. Because everyone knows what an organized K-pop fan community can do if you motivate them: BTS fans have already blew up the Trump campaign, ignited major political hashtags, and covered ignorance with public shame.
