CMA CGM: The cargo giant orders an Airbus A350 freighter

At the Dubai Airshow, Airbus presented its first customer for the A350 freighter, which was introduced in July. The Air Lease Corporation ALC has signed a letter of intent to purchase seven A350 Fs . aircraft. Just a day after the trade fair ended, the aircraft manufacturer will present the next customer on Friday (November 19).

CMA CGM Group, a French shipping and logistics company, has signed a binding letter of intent for four A350 freighters. This should become a confirmed purchase agreement in the coming weeks. The aircraft are operated by CMA CGM Air Cargo, the group’s air cargo division that was founded in February.

The jet fleet is small compared to the fleet of ships

CMA CGM Air Cargo already owns four Airbus A330-200 F aircraft. It has been operated by Air Belgium since February. As you expect from next spring Two Boeing 777Fs and want their own air operator certificate (in English Air Operator Certificate or AOC) Safe.
