Celebrate the beginning of 2023 with Pokémon GO • Nintendo Connect

Another year of adventure is coming to an end. So let’s start with a cool event for the New Year at Pokemon GO Next year! At the New Year’s Eve party, the Pokemon wear their most colorful outfits. There is also a new avatar item, a new mode, and much more waiting for you! Below is all the information from Pokémon GO blog.

The Pokémon GO New Year 2023 event will run from Saturday, December 31, 2022 at 8 PM to Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at 8 PM (local time) and will introduce two Pokémon with new outfits: Here’s how Pikachu can get a new outfit and wear a party hat in the game. In addition, Hoothoot can be upgraded with a known New Year’s costume from the previous year to Noctuh with a New Year’s costume with the start of the event.

Both Pikachu and Hoothoot will be available with their outfits in the wild and in Raid Battles.

Joining these two are Wumpel with the party hat, which will appear in the wild, and Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, Ratticar, Nidorino, Gengar, and Wobbuffet in raids, all of whom will be wearing the party hat. During the course of the event, there will also be Mega Steelix in Mega Raids and Rehiram in Tier 5 Raids – the latter will have a Crossflame attack if caught. Also, Pichu with Party Hat, Pii, Fluffleuff, Togepi, Bully, Kussilla, Elekid, Magby, Azurill, and Isso will be available in 7km eggs.

Rounding out the event is a college challenge and field research tasks, both of which award a Stardust award. There will also be stickers to match the new year at PokéStops and in the store. A new pose and outfit for the player character will also be purchased in the shop, and fireworks will explode in the game sky during the event.
