London – British Princess Anne (71) traveled downtown on behalf of the Queen. Prince Charles’ younger sister, 73, attended the opening ceremony of the Royal Easter Show in Sydney on Saturday as the guest of honor at the start of a three-day trip to Australia and officially kicked off the event.
The Princess first opened the show in 1970 – at that time Charles, his mother Queen Elizabeth II and his father Prince Philip died exactly one year ago. This time, for the event celebrating its 200th anniversary this year, Anne rode in the same honorable cart she did then.
With her husband Timothy Lawrence (67), Princess Anne visits the Commonwealth of Australia as part of the Queen’s 70th Jubilee celebrations (95). Want to meet both firefighters and people affected by wildfires and recent floods off the east coast of Australia on Sunday.
Following her visit to Australia, the Queen’s daughter, who holds the title of Princess Royal, will travel to Papua New Guinea for two more days.
