- The family is currently in the UK to attend the Queen’s celebrations of the Queen’s 70th jubilee.
- She had never met her granddaughter in person before.
Britain’s Prince Harry (37) and Duchess Meghan (40) have posted a new photo of their daughter Lillipet. In a light blue dress with a white bow in her reddish hair, the smiling girl is sitting on the green grass.
Photographer Maisan Harriman, an old friend of the couple, posted the photo to his Instagram page on Monday. “It was a great honor to celebrate Lillipet’s first birthday with my family and my family,” the British photographer wrote.
The photo was taken last Saturday (June 4) on Lillipet’s first birthday outing at a walk in the park with family and close friends, a royal family spokesperson said Monday, according to US magazine People.
As reported by Sky News, the celebration was held at Frogmore Cottage in Windsor, where Harry and Meghan were staying during Queen Elizabeth II’s 70th jubilee celebrations. Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan have come to England with their entire family for the first time since they retired from the royal family. There was also Lillibit’s older brother Archie (3), whom the Queen saw as an infant. The visit was the 96-year-old’s first chance to meet her second youngest grandchild, Lilibit, who was born in the United States.
