British Prime Minister Boris Johnson on Monday expressed confidence that Great Britain and Ireland could win the bid to host the 2030 World Cup.
After winning the World Cup in their home country in 1966, their attempts at the 2006 and 2018 World Cups in England failed. Johnson said the day after England lost the European Championship final in Wembley. “But I think it’s good. We’ll give it a try.”
Johnson attended the Euro final in London with his wife Gary Johnson.
