Boris Becker (54 years old) cannot handle life in prison. His fellow prisoners are feeling this way now. As reported by “Bild,” the tennis legend is complaining to other prisoners about prison conditions.
The tennis icon should go to jail: “Prison must be very harsh and strict”(06:22)
The German was in Wandsworth Prison (Great Britain) about two weeks ago. He was sentenced to two and a half years in prison for money laundering, fraud and bankruptcy evasion. Although the six-time Grand Slam winner has perks like day cell doors and more phone calls than usual, he hasn’t been able to adjust to his new life yet.
Boris Becker wants to shower a lot
He is said to have complained to fellow prisoners that he was not allowed to shower last weekend. 1,400 guests are allowed to do so twice a week. Not suitable for harsh conditions and small portions of food baker either. Complain about it to other guests every day in the food queue. The three-time Wimbledon winner also likes to mention that he’s lived a completely different life so far, so changing is very difficult. His moans were met with little acceptance by his fellow inmates, even if he had many fans there because of his career.
The former tennis star is now hoping he can serve his sentence elsewhere soon. So the guards often asked when he would be transferred to a better prison. The answer to that is not clear. Transferring to another institution is an early release of good behavior. In any case, it seems unlikely that Baker will serve his entire two-and-a-half-year sentence at Wandsworth. (BSN)
