Lena Häcki-Gross shows a strong performance in the biathlon race in Ruhpolding, but makes a mistake when shooting.

After a flawless prone shot and excellent pace on the cross-country skiing track, the situation looked promising for Lena Häcki-Gross in the sprint from Ruhpolding before her standing shoot. However, the Engelberg woman was unable to capitalize on a good starting position. In a standing shot, the 28-year-old missed two goals and was eliminated from the race for the top seed.

In the end it was enough for Häcki-Gross to finish 17th. This put the Swiss team leader directly ahead of Amy Baserga, who lost two seconds to her compatriot with a waste of less than one. Other Swiss ski athletes also clearly missed out on the top 20, with Aita Gasparin in 30th, Elsa Gasparin in 41st and Lia Mayer in 55th.

Tandrefold is irresistible

Today's victory went to the Norwegian. Ingrid Tandrevold presented herself flawlessly on the shooting range and also showed no weaknesses on the cross-country skiing track. Only Anamarija Lampic was faster on her skis than Tandrevold, but the Slovenian missed three shots and thus finished only 14th.

Behind Tandrevold, Sweden's Mona Brorsson and Italy's Lisa Vittuzzi completed the podium in Upper Bavaria.

This is how it goes

For women, the World Cup finishes in Ruhpolding on Sunday with a distance of more than 10 kilometers. The men's over 10km sprint is scheduled to take place on Saturday, before the final pursuit is included in the program the following day.
