After their success in the World Cup, German beach handball players made a sensation at the World Games in the USA.

The German women’s team reached the semi-finals at the World Games. Alexander Novakovic’s side celebrated their third win in three matches against Norway – after losing 2-1 in a penalty shootout.

Novakovic’s choice had previously defeated Mexico (2-0) and Argentina (2-1), followed by duels with Australia and the United States of America.

Lost the first group

The Germans lost the first set against Norway.
