Bastian’s Christmas party with the Sutter family yodeling

Bastian’s Christmas party with the Sutter family yodeling

The interior of St. Sebastian’s Parish Church in Brolisau lit up with Christmas splendor when Lukas Sutter sat down on the dulcimer and opened the evening with “The Snow Is Falling Softly.”

Looking back at three years of Bastian’s concerts in Proleso

Emil Kohler (President of the OC) welcomed the guests and briefly looked back: For three years now, music lovers have been able to experience singing and music in St. Sebastian’s Parish Church. From the beginning, he and Ruth Bruhin – as he said with a smile “as marketing and sponsorship assistant” – attached great importance to keeping the OK team as small as possible and thus minimizing effort. The OC President and the OC President are reliably supported by their assistants Luzia and Leo Koller as well as Nadja and Johnny Dörig. Thanks to loyal sponsors and many guests, four concerts will also be held in 2024.

Appenzeller house music

The Sutter Yodeling family is known for numerous stage and television appearances. They delight guests with good singing and home-style Appenzell music. In Brülisau, listeners were able to enjoy the entire repertoire. The Sutter Brothers were born with musical talent. They have been playing musical instruments since they were children, and according to father Markus Sutter, they have sung at the changing table. This evening, the yodeling family came to Brolisaw with songs that “carry light within and aim to make people happy.” Natural yodeling and traditional songs, alternating with musical contributions from the Sutter siblings, touched the hearts of many guests.

Baby Leandra

Twelve-year-old Leandra, the baby of the Sutter family, is no less talented than her siblings. She played beautifully accompanied by her brothers and sisters musically. When she performed Rugguserli’s “Endlich onder em Dach” by Guido Neff and Lukas played the dulcimer, everyone’s hearts were captivated by them. Leandra mastered her performance brilliantly, while her older brother was clearly proud of her.

Preview two Christmas parties in 2024

If you missed the concert in Brolisau or just can’t get enough of the friendly family of musicians, you should mark November 23, 2024 on your calendar. Because next year there will be a Christmas concert with the Sutter family sing-along at the Catholic Church in Buhler.

On December 22, 2024, the Enderlin Chicks from Bühler will perform in Brülisau as part of the Bastian Concerts and will design their program specifically for the Advent season.
