Australian-built electric vehicle can drive more than 1,000 km non-stop –

Ever since they were introduced to society, one of the biggest drawbacks of electric vehicles has been their range and the fact that you can’t easily extend your car by rushing to a gas station to fill it up (of course, you can… their locations, but it can take 45 minutes to get a meaningful charge).

Over the years, EV manufacturers have developed vehicles with even more efficient batteries to solve this problem, and today many leading EVs can deliver hundreds of miles on a single battery while also offering fast charging capabilities. Keep track of when you need a top up.

A team of Australian students decided that wasn’t enough and have created an electric vehicle that can travel over 1,000 km on a single battery. In fact, this car was so efficient that it managed to get a Guinness World Record for performance.

how By Top Gear Called the SunSwift 7, the car covered 1,000 km (roughly 620 miles) at a speed of around 52 mph, clocking a single drive time of less than 12 hours and holding the Australian speed record for an electric vehicle.

The car was created as a replacement for the now-cancelled Solar Challenge (which challenged people to travel from north to south of the largest country, all using solar power), and these students decided to build and test it themselves. Development of an EV that can cover a distance of 1,000 km in less than 10 hours. Even if it misses that mark, it’s still an impressive feat.
