The partisan advance to Belgorod ended. Russia claims to have eliminated the fighters and seized the materials. But the prizes offered by Moscow are bogus: the whole business is an embarrassment to the Kremlin.

Meanwhile, the Russian Ministry of Defense is releasing photos and videos that appear to show other disabled Western cars. The message is clear: Moscow controls everything in Belgorod Oblast.
