ASUS will soon come with a new gaming smartphone called ROG Phone 6D. The built-in AMOLED display measures 6.78 inches diagonally, with a resolution of 2448 x 1080 pixels at a maximum refresh rate of 165 Hz and protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus. A Delta-E value of less than 1 promises high color accuracy.
The MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ Mobile is available with 12 or 16 GB LPDDR5X RAM and Mali-G710 GPU as a computing unit and is kept at lower temperatures by various cooling elements including fans. Android 12 with ROG UI is available on a 256 or 512 GB UFS 3.1 hard drive. Other features of the novelty include three built-in microphones with noise cancellation, two built-in stereo speakers, an in-display fingerprint sensor, and IPX4 splash protection.
In terms of cameras, there is a 50MP main sensor with Sony IMX766 on the back, a 13MP wide angle and a 5MP macro lens. The 12MP model does its job at the front. 4K videos can be recorded at a maximum of 60fps and HDR10+ is active. Connectivity includes 5G, Bluetooth 5.3, Nano-SIM, NFC, Wi-Fi 6E, and a headphone output (3.5mm jack). The matrix screen is framed on the back of the smartphone, which can dynamically illuminate with different colors.
Weight 239 grams ASUS ROG 6D Phone It comes with two 3000 mAh batteries, which according to the manufacturer can charge from 0 to 100 percent in 42 minutes with 65 watts. The mobile comes with a two-year warranty and will be available from October 10, 2022 for €949 (12GB RAM, 256GB UFS 3.1) or €1399 (16GB RAM, 512GB UFS 3.1). Pre-order is already possible.
As far as Android updates are concerned, you’ll probably be satisfied with two years, which is typical for ASUS. We are currently checking in with the company to see if anything has changed at the moment.
