Apple: Fitness+ starts November 3, iOS 15.1 and macOS 12 today

Apple releases macOS 12 Monterey and updates to iOS 15.1, iPadOS 15.1 and watchOS 8.1. Plus, after announcing in September that video workouts with the Apple Watch would begin this year in Germany, the company is now also setting a specific start date for Fitness+ for Germany — along with One Premium.

From November 3 this year, Apple’s fitness service will be launched not only in Germany, but in 15 new regions – Brazil, Germany, France, Indonesia, Italy, Colombia, Malaysia, Mexico, Austria, Portugal, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Switzerland, Spain and the UAE United Arab Emirates. It was already available in the US, Australia, UK, and Canada. It is already known that the service will not have any localization of the language and trainers, but it will remain entirely in English. Optionally, however, subtitles can be displayed in six different languages.

Fitness+ is available as a subscription for €9.99 per month or €79.99 per year.

Apple One Premium starts in Germany

At the same time, Apple One Premium is also launching in Germany, which in addition to Fitness + also provides access to Apple Music, Apple TV +, Apple Arcade, Apple News + (currently not available in Germany) and iCloud + with 2 TB of Storage for €28.95 per month. The subscription can be shared by up to six family members.

macOS 12 Monterey launches today

As announced on the homepage after last week’s Apple event, Apple also released macOS 12 Monterey today.

Apple releases macOS 12 Monterey as a free update. The oldest supported Mac is the 2013 Mac Pro.

HomePod: Lossless Audio and Dolby Atmos Spatial Audio

With the update to version 15.1, the HomePod and HomePod Mini are also receiving Apple’s lossless audio system and Dolby Atmos Spatial Audio – the last only for the larger HomePod, which has now been discontinued. Both functions can be activated in the Home app in Settings.
