Pokémon Go developer Niantic’s AR pet sim Peridot has once again opened up to more beta testers – this time it’s the Australia region’s turn. When is peridot coming to Germany? Peridot is expected to be officially available in Germany only in the spring of 2023.
Everyone waiting for the official release of the new AR app from Pokémon Go development studio Niantic will be making long faces. Peridot’s global soft launch was phased in from April 2022, but not here. Danes are now allowed to adopt their new AR pet, Norwegians are already playing with Dots, and Peridot can be downloaded from the App Store and Google Play in Singapore and Malaysia.
The same goes for Australia from now on, as the people at Niantic announced via Twitter that the beta is now available in the country as well.
The players worry if Peridot will actually appear
Of course, in all the countries where the Peridot beta has yet to launch, eager players are wondering when it will be their turn. However, there are also concerned commentators who don’t really believe that Peridot will bring in enough money to maintain or officially release the game under Niantic’s beta announcement.
The concern is no coincidence after Harry Potter: Wizards Unite has been discontinued after less than two years or all the games Niantic has already short-lived during the beta phase, including Caton: World Explorers. Transformers: Heavy Metal was “dead in the water” before it even went into full-scale beta testing. You can learn more in one of our Niantic columns.
