Just in time for the start of the 2021 Olympics in Tokyo, sprinter Alex Wilson (30) was at his best: the Swiss set new records over the 100 and 200 metres.

A bang from Alex Wilson shortly before the Olympics start! As part of his preparation for the 2021 Olympics, the Swiss ran two great times in Atlanta (USA).
Wilson broke two Swiss records on Sunday as part of his training camp. Over 200 meters, he lowered his record by 0.09 seconds. The stopwatch stopped at 19.89 seconds.
Wilson did better in ideal conditions over 100 metres. With 9.84 seconds, the 30-year-old not only set a Swiss record, but also a European one! So far it has been 9.86 seconds.
The new record has not yet been approved by European Athletics. Meanwhile, Alex Wilson returns to Switzerland on Monday. Within the week, the trip to the Games in Tokyo is scheduled.
