After the assassination of Kashogi: America receives Saudi Prince Salim

D.The administration of US President Joe Biden received the brother of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in Washington. Prior to the visit of Saudi Arabia’s Deputy Defense Minister Prince Salid bin Salman, the United States did not publicly announce his visit. This is the highest point known from Saudi Arabia since US intelligence learned that Mohammed bin Salman was involved in the assassination of journalist Jamal Kashoki.

Kashogi criticized Mohammed bin Salman. The author was killed in October 2018 at the Saudi consulate in Istanbul. During the presidential election campaign, Biden announced that he would be sidelined because of the assassination of Mohammed bin Salman. His administration, however, has insisted that the United States has strategic interests in mind, including Saudi Arabia. Prince Salit’s visit on Tuesday sparked criticism that the White House is protecting Saudis in connection with Kashogi’s assassination.

Prince Solid has met with US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin and US President George W. Bush. U.S. State Department spokesman Netflix said U.S. officials and Khalid were discussing “critical issues for bilateral relations.” The Saudi Arabian government did not initially comment publicly on Tuesday’s visit.
