Adele’s fans had to be patient for a long time, but now the singer is back on the scene – and with great news. Two days ago, the artist announced that the song “Easy On Me” – the first to release her new album – will be released on October 15.
but that is not all. The British singer has appeared on the cover of the new “Vogue” – and twice. The “Hello” singer can be seen on the cover of both the American edition of the fashion magazine and the British branch – a novelty in the history of the traditional magazine.
Adele selfie with curly mane
Adele shared a photo of the cover decorating the November UK issue via Instagram. The photo shows the artist with curly hair and elaborately coiled hair. She wears a yellow dress with a plunging collar and looks conspiratorially at the camera. She wrote: “Thank you to Edward, Stephen, Pat, Guido, Giles. Glam, wardrobe, crew and everyone at British Vogue.” Adele’s 40 million followers were excited. On Friday morning, the photo had already garnered nearly 5.3 million likes.
“When I was 30, my whole life fell apart”
The American cover, which Adele also posted on Instagram, was critically acclaimed. There she wears a wide green dress with her hair tied back strictly. The photo was taken in a stunning setting on the rooftop of the Academic Museum of the Moving Image in Los Angeles, the singer explained. Photos are from Alisdair McLellan, who she worked with on the cover shoot for Adele’s album 25. Additionally, Adele would like to personally thank ‘Vogue’ editor-in-chief Anna Wintour.
What is striking about both covers is again the massive weight loss compared to Adele’s previous professional years. In an interview with the fashion magazine, she explained what prompted her to do so: “It was because of my fears. When I exercise, I feel better.” Since then, the sport has become somewhat of an addiction, with two to three training sessions a day. However, the focus was not on reducing her body weight, the 33-year-old emphasized. Instead, her goal was to “get strong and give myself as much time as possible each day without my phone.”
Adele talks about her divorce from husband Simon Konecki
Adele also shed her heart during a difficult phase in life: the divorce from her husband Simon Konecki. “When I was in my 30s, my whole life fell apart,” she admitted. “It just didn’t work for me anymore. I didn’t want to end up like so many other people I know. I wasn’t happy, but I would have been more miserable if I hadn’t put myself first.”
