FC Thun defends its lead in the table. The Bernese Oberland side inflicted their first defeat against FC Sion thanks to late goals in a 3-2 away win.
Until about the last quarter of an hour, the world of FC Sion was organized into the tourbillon. Thanks to goals from Baltazar and Elias Shawarf in the first half, they made their way to three points and return to the top of the standings.
Miguel Castroman with a long shot (74) and Ihsan Sakho with a penalty (78) brought Thon back into the match. In the 88th minute, 20-year-old Mark Gottbob, who has his lineage, made it 3-2 after brilliant preparation work from 19-year-old Sakho.
Similar to Thun, FC Aarau, who have recently been beaten twice in the league, also scored three points on Monday evening: despite an early 0-2 deficit, Alex Frey’s side won 3-2 at home against FC Vaduz. In stoppage time of the first half, Shakilqaym Demhasaj reduced the score. After the break, an own goal and an 87th-minute goal by Arian Colaco led to the turning point.
