Biathlon: Gust wins all sprints this season
Johannes Thingnes Böh wrote a piece of biathlon history in Oslo. The 29-year-old Norwegian also triumphed in the 10km race in Holmenkollen. Bö won all seven World Cup races for the season. No athlete has ever done that before. He also won the gold medal at the World Championships that year. Despite a shooting foul and a penalty loop, Bo held a nearly 24-second lead over Swede’s Martin Poncelloma. The Swiss clearly missed out on the top spots. Sebastian Stalder finished 31st with a shooting error, 1:45 behind, Niklas Hartwig had a clean shot but finished 32nd, just behind compatriot, Seraphine Festner was 41st, Joscha Burkhalter 78th and Dagan Danuser 89th.
Snowboard: All Swiss women were eliminated in the quarter-finals
The Swiss skateboarders didn’t stand a chance at the World Cup on their home turf in Vessonnaz either. In the last quarter-final, this was the end of the streak for everyone. on Kali Koblet, World Cup winner four days ago in Sierra Nevada (ESP) and third in Cervinia (ITA) in December, had all his hopes up. The 25-year-old from SC Flumserberg won the last 16. In the quarterfinals, he failed the Austrian Jacob Dusek and the French Merlene Surget. Sophie Heidegger, Anouk Dorgg and Lara Casanova were also eliminated in the quarter-finals. Particularly bitter: Dorg and Casanova knocked each other out of the race by a fall. The victories in Vysonaz went to the German Martin Norll and the British Charlotte Banks.

Free delivery: Chabloz in Austria is in second place
As part of the Freeride World Tour 2023, the world’s best skiers and snowboarders stop in Fieberbrunn, Austria. In skiers, Swiss Maxime Chapuz took second place thanks to an amazing race. The 21-year-old has only been beaten by American Andrew Pollard. Jonathan Penfield (USA) won the figure skating category. Canadian Katie Anderson won the women’s figure skating category and was thus crowned the 2023 Freeride World Championship. In the women’s skating category, wildcard holder Ariana Tricomi from Italy won.
Ski jumping: Deschuandin scores only
In the World Cup competition in Lillehammer, only Gregor Deschwanden represented the Swiss colors in the second part of the competition. However, after trips of 118.5m and 107.5m, the Lucerne native never got past 29th place. Simon Amann, who celebrated victories in 1994 at the Olympic Stadium in 2006, 2009 and 2010, just missed the final round at 32nd place. Remo Imhof (40) was not allowed a second attempt. Pole Dawid Kubacki celebrated his fifth win of the season. On the Raw Air Tour, Norwegian Halvor Egner Granerud, who had already won the Four Hills tournament, consolidated the lead.
