So Bushido and his family suffered from clan threats
In the new RTL documentary “The Reset,” Bushido and his wife, Anna Maria Verchichi, tell how difficult personal protection is for them. The children and the mother did so much that they were no longer able to.

Bushido and his family were under police protection for four years. They are now reporting on their experiences in a new documentary.
I’ve had a hard time for years: because rapper Bushido, 44, broke up with the Abdo Shaker clan, he and his family had been under police protection in Germany for four years. In the RTL documentary ‘Bushido Reset’, he and his family explain how they lived these four years before migrating to Dubai in August 2022.
For information: For years, the rapper was involved in the “Abu Shaker” clan. The clan consists of twelve large Arab families, some of whose members are considered very criminals. In March 2018, the rapper cut ties with the clan. After the friendship broke up, the artist was a witness against the clan, and therefore faced four years of court hearings and personal protection. The court ordered personal protection as part of the witness protection program and paid for it with taxes.
Children adapt quickly
Bushido’s wife, Anna Maria Verccichi, 40, is particularly concerned about the situation of her children. Her 10-year-old daughter, Alia, is afraid of strangers. However, “it’s very normal in their way of thinking that we have personal security,” she continues. Although the children will quickly adapt to new situations, the whole process did not go unnoticed by the family.
For two years, the Bushido family was with the RTL camera team for documentation. “Of course we fear that someone will shoot me or my husband out of revenge, and we expect that every day,” Vercci said in a spring 2018 interview.
Clan planning kidnapping
The greatest danger also brought with it the duty to prepare. It was not possible for the family to go on a trip spontaneously. Everything had to always be planned so as not to accidentally meet a clan member.
The daughter Alia in particular feels safe with her bodyguards. The clan planned to kidnap her in 2018. “It is very unfortunate and sad because it was upsetting to her because she knew that she was going to be kidnapped and that it was someone she knew. She slept with them, with whom she had lunch, and went in and out of her house,” Aaliyah’s mother describes the situation.
New life in Dubai
For Bushido, his family situation is stressful. He blames himself: “I knew I had not fulfilled my responsibility. I should have finished everything much sooner. I had a real doubt in myself,” he admits. He continues in an emotional voice: “I treated my wife badly, and lied to her for years. I’ve been filming everything in public like we’re the coolest brothers. The whole thing, which has been on my shoulder for so long anyway, It culminated in threatening my wife and children.”
Now Bushido, Anna Maria Verschi and their family are looking forward to a new life. Verchichi says life is no longer beautiful in Berlin. The control of the Arafat Abu Shaker clan (44) and the protection of the police were very burdensome. In Dubai, where the Ferchichi family has lived since August 2022, they hope for a more relaxed everyday life. (to praise)
