Margaret Almere of Oberoswil Tennis Club has qualified for the seventh time at the World Senior Tennis Championships, which is being held in the United States this year. This annual ITF tournament is designed as a team competition and will take place from April 24 to 29, 2022 in Palm Beach County, Florida.
Record breaking! For the 77-year-old from Oberuzwil, this is the seventh participation in the World Senior Championship. The invitation is issued by the Swiss Tennis Federation in order of age group. Preparations for this event are currently underway.
Margaret Almer started playing tennis only at the age of 38 and still enjoys playing it almost every day. With her almost injury-free career, brilliant liveliness, enthusiasm for the game and always in a good mood, she is a popular playing partner for many at Tennis Club Oberuzwil (TCO) and in the region. She loves to run after yellow felt balls, and together with Ann Spaceney she also takes care of housekeeping at the TCO Club.
Diligence, technique, perseverance and the right amount of humor are the best preparation for a successful World Cup participation. Good luck in Florida!
