Queen Elizabeth (95) always radiates far from all troubles. But things are different behind the scenes. The numerous divorces of her children would have stirred up her quiet mind in the 1990s. Quoted from “People” from Robert Hardman’s book (57) “The Queen of Our Time: The Life of Queen Elizabeth II”, “The Queen found talk of divorce very disturbing.”
Prince Charles (73), Princess Anne (71) and Prince Andrew (62) – they all underwent a public split, said to have particularly affected the Queen. “A former family member revealed that one could always see little signs of their desperation,” the book says.
The Queen suffered a lot of pain
A palace insider explains that she was surprised by several of her children’s divorces: “It was worse for her than she could admit.” In a short conversation with the Queen, the insider tried to change her mood for the better.
“I told her, madam, this seems to be everywhere. It is very common now.” But she only said ‘three out of four!’ in utter sadness and bitterness. Don’t underestimate the pain she went through.” But according to Hardman’s book, the Queen had no choice but to smile and move on. (Gearn)
