Shocking moment at the Nakiska Ski World Cup (KA): Engadin’s Talina Jantenbein starts in the quarter-finals, but bumps into rival India Sheritt in one of the first jumps.
They both fly through the safety net and only stop in the nearby woods. The screams of pain could be heard on the TV screen.
At least the Swiss gave it all, Gantenbein crossed the finish line on his skis. Her rival is less fortunate: the Canadian Shira must be taken away by the sled.
Gantenbein’s teammate Fanny Smith finished second behind Sweden’s Sandra Neslund. Jose Perry is the last Swiss player to fail in the semi-finals.
