Pettito and Laundry, who lived together in the northern harbor, sailed through the United States in a modified van in July. The couple documented the trip on Instagram and YouTube. The van had already been inspected at the inquest.
Police action due to dispute

The two had an argument over Pettito beating up her boyfriend. He says in the video that he suffers from mental health problems. Police then ordered the two to be detained separately. Petito wants to sleep in the van, with her friend Laundry at a hotel. An ad was discounted.
