A man has been arrested on the Spanish island of Mallorca for assault. The reason: He was said to have gone to work and to a fitness center despite symptoms of Corona and infected at least 22 people with the virus.
As the Spanish police announced, investigations returned to the outbreak of Corona in the city of Manacor at the end of January.
He removed his mask on purpose
His co-workers reported to the police that the man had a fever of over 40 degrees but did not want to go home – despite his colleagues’ requests. He is said to have removed his mask on purpose when forced to cough. He said at the time, “I will infect all of you with Corona.”
As a result, the man allegedly infected five of his classmates – who transmitted the infection to their family members, including three young children. According to the police, he also injured three people in the fitness center and injured others as well. (Bra)
